Vasay Chaudhry is a well-known Pakistani actor, writer, and host who has written numerous drama series and films. He presents several shows, including Mazaq Raat on Dunya TV and Ghabrana Mana Hai on Ary Digital.

Vasay Chaudhry is an actor, director, producer, host, and comedian from Pakistan. Chaudhry is most known for his work on Pakistani television sitcoms and comic dramas. Vasay, is known for his work as a screenwriter. He penned Jawani Phir Nahi Ani and Main Hoon Shahid Afridi. While Mai Hoon Shahid Afridi was a mediocre hit, Jawani phir Nahe Ani became Pakistan’s highest-grossing film, smashing all previous box office records and generating more than $490 million. He also wrote Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which was released on Eid al-Adha 2018 and set a record for the highest box office gross. It also became the first Pakistani film to gross 700 million rupees internationally.
Since 2015, Chaudhry has also hosted the comedy show “Mazaaq Raat” on Dunya News. In the Pakistani press, Chaudhry has been recognized as a writer who is uniquely at ease with Punjabi culture.  He is a big believer in “self-censorship” and considers himself “old school” when it comes to ideas about a writer’s moral responsibility to his readers. He attributes this to his upbringing in a world before cable television and claims that he “refrains from [creating] obnoxious jokes.”
Chaudhry was born on November 12, 1981, in Lahore, Pakistan. He graduated from Lahore College of Arts and Sciences with A-level diploma. Chaudhry enrolled at Government College University (Lahore) to pursue a bachelor’s degree but instead received his diploma from the University of Punjab in Lahore. Later, he enrolled in the Lahore School of Economics MBA program but dropped out after the first semester. He went on to the National College of Arts to get his MMA (Master’s in Multimedia Arts). In 2008, he married Mahera Shah, with whom he had three daughters.
