Sadaf Kanwal is a Pakistani actress who began her career as a television and cinema model. She was born in Karachi on August 29, 1991, and grew up there. Her grandmother, Salma Mumtaz, was a well-known Pakistani senior actress, and her aunt, Nida Mumtaz, is also a well-known actress.
Sadaf began her career as a model when she was in college, and she has since walked the catwalk as a bold and beautiful model for several well-known Pakistani designers. Sadaf also modeled for well-known labels, including Sheep, Khaadi, Sapphire, Maria. B, Shariq Textiles, Umsha by Uzma Babar, and others. Sunday Plus, SHE, Good Times, Visage, Paparazzi, and other leading design publications also featured Sadaf on their cover. Kanwal is also the Zong 4G Pakistan brand ambassador. Sadaf starred in the ARY Zindagi drama family series “Meka Aur Sasural” in 2014.
Kanwal began her acting career on the big screen in 2017 with the character of Sharmeen Mukhtiyar in the Pakistani romantic comedy film “Balu Mahi,” opposite Osman Khalid Butt, who plays Balu. Sadaf had a cameo appearance in 2017’s “Na Maloom Afraad 2” song “Kaif o Suroor.” This film is a sequel to the Pakistani film “Na Maloom Afraad,” which was released in 2014. She portrayed Cameo opposite Fahad Mustafa in the film.
Kanwal has won two Lux Style Awards and a Hum TV award. She won the Lux Style Award for Best Model of the Year in 2015. In the following year, she was nominated for both the Lux Style Award and the Hum TV Award for Best Model Female. Her career was at its pinnacle in 2017 when Sadaf received the Hum TV Award for Most Stylish Model Female. She was nominated twice at the Lux Style Ceremony in 2018: once for Best Supporting Actress Film for her role in “Balu Mahi,” and again for Model of the Year. Kanwal won the Lux Style Award for Model of the Year in 2019.
